Naomi Asselin, MS, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Hi, I’m Naomi.
I work with adults experiencing grief, loss, depression, anxiety, boundary difficulties, major life transitions, and trauma, and I am deeply committed to advocating for LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized communities. Previous clients have described me as warm, approachable, non-judgmental, and appropriately witty. I currently provide virtual counseling services for Oregon residents.
I have nearly a decade of professional and volunteer experience supporting individuals through grief and loss, honoring the complexity that comes with this process. I take a holistic approach to therapy, caring for the whole person while remaining mindful of how identity, health, culture, inequality, and lived experience can shape emotional well-being.
While I do use evidenced based methods, such as solutions-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), my first goal is to tailor therapy to fit your unique needs and values. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and that healing can happen through honest collaboration. Together, we will explore ways to strengthen emotional balance, and navigate stressors with greater self-compassion and confidence.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my three rambunctious cats, hiking, watching movies, listening to audiobooks, and training for my next powerlifting competition!
