Stephenie Szumny, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Hi, I’m Stephenie.
I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, and trauma/PTSD, and I also have experience supporting clients through grief, major life transitions, family conflict, mood disorders, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, chronic pain, career and financial stress, and pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum experiences.
I am particularly passionate about working with parents and adult children who are navigating estrangement. Whether the goal is to work toward healthy reunification or to find grief, acceptance, and peace when reconciliation isn’t possible, I strive to create a compassionate space where healing can occur.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy, strength-based approaches, trauma-focused interventions, and reality therapy. I believe meaningful change happens when we move beyond surface-level symptoms and explore the deeper patterns that shape our experiences. Together, we’ll work at your pace to help you feel lighter, gain clarity, and reconnect with your own resilience and inner strengths.
I work with teens, adults, and older adults (65+) through individual therapy and consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they move toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
