Tim Shreve, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hi, I’m Tim.

My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by years of working in complex, high-stress environments as a clinical social worker. I began my career in the child welfare system, where I supported children and families navigating trauma, instability, and systemic challenges. That work gave me a deep understanding of how early experiences, chronic stress, and environmental pressures can impact emotional health, relationships, and a person’s sense of safety and stability.

I later transitioned into a hospital setting, working with individuals facing chronic illness and significant medical challenges. During that time, I witnessed firsthand how ongoing stress, uncertainty, grief, and medical complexity can affect both emotional well-being and the nervous system. These experiences reinforced the importance of providing compassionate, grounded support during some of the most overwhelming and vulnerable moments in a person’s life.

Those experiences ultimately led me into therapy work, where I now focus on helping adults feel more regulated, less stuck, and better able to reconnect with motivation, direction, and a sense of balance during difficult life transitions. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients can better understand themselves, build resilience, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.
